Birds were very active between the rain showers

It was very fascinating to observe the birds during the rainy weather this weekend. They still were chirping and singing in the rain except when we experienced the monsoon-like showers. Then they would take cover in the trees and bushes.

During a pause between the showers, a group of about six dark eyed bushtits descended on our backyard. Maybe they are after the bugs that get washed out by the rain? These birds are so cute and very small. I couldn't resist taking some photos of them. There's one perched on a branch of a rosebush.

I took these photos through our kitchen window glass which is not very sparkling clean right now, but I think you can still see how fluffy and round they are.
