Happy Spring!

It's that time of year to decorate our home with symbols of Spring and hope! Above are eggs that we hollowed out and decorated with crayon and dyes. It's always fun to decorate eggs and we save them all, so our little collection is slowly growing year after year.

The bird was an ornament on a delicious chocolate cake from a couple of years ago.

I bought the base of this wreath, which is made of branches and twigs, many years ago. It's great for all kinds of occasions when you just want to have natural materials as decoration. The flowers are dried, and simply stuck into spaces between the branches so that they are secure. The floweres were saved over the past few years, and were air dried, no special technique. I just keep the ones that dry well, retaining their shape, color, and don't get soggy and droopy.
