Bees on the Dwarf Indigo Spire
carpenter bee and honey bee on Dwarf Indigo Spire
All day long this plant attracts and feeds the bees. It's truly an example of "if you plant it they will come". In the above photo the honey bee is on the lower right of the spire while the carpenter bee is a little higher up on the left of the same spire. The carpenter bee is hidden by some of the flowers, but you can see its wing sticking out to the left.
And here you see a digger bee up on the left of the middle Indigo Spire. It has brighter yellow stripes than the honey bee on the lower left of the same spire.
