Honey bee in a nasturtium flower
Nasturtiums are a popular nectar and pollen source for the honey bees.
Although I don't remember ever planting nasturtiums in the garden, they are always popping up all over the place, seeding themselves around other plants, even in container pots! They provide a lovely carpet of green in the early spring and then the bright orange or yellow flowers start blooming through late fall.
There is constant buzzing in these flowers as the bees, especially honey bees like this one, gather their nectar and pollen.
