branch of flowering apricot blossoms

In late January of every year we have blossoming branches in water in a large vase our entrance, partly in anticipation of Spring, and also in honor of part of my heritage, Chinese New Year.

This year we have apricot branches.

Oddly, though the blossoms do have a fragrance, it doesn't smell like apricot.
