The towhee and the blueberry shrubs

We observe California towhees all year round in the garden, but this is the time of year when they monitor our backyard several times a day. And why.....?
Because of this!

The towhees just LOVE our blueberries, and they seem to know when those berries are starting to get big and ripe. We bought a second Sunshine blueberry plant last year and it is very healthy, producing these delicious berries.
So we'll see how many berries the towhees will leave for us this season.
