Bees and the flowers

We do have many native plants for the bees, but they do like roses, too.

Here is a honey bee collecting nectar and pollen from one of our rose bushes.

And here, earlier in the morning, is a honey bee on a naked buckwheat flower head.

More pollinator food blooming here, blossoms of a checkerspot plant.

Don't they look like orchids?
