The umber skippers and Shasta daisies

Here's one of the friendly umber skippers that are always visiting the garden.

They seem to really love the Shasta daisy nectar because I've noticed that whenever I look at the daisies an umber skipper is resting and feeding on one of the flowers for a long period of time.

As with a lot else growing in the garden, there are more of these daisies blooming than in previous years, which is great for the butterflies!
