Leaf cutter female bee and the first cosmos flower

The first cosmos flowers are blooming in the backyard.

And on a day when the sun barely appeared, the bright colors of the flowers stood out against the greenery.

And so it was very easy to spot that a bee was resting on one of the flowers, feeding on the nectar, for several minutes.

It is a leaf cutter female bee, the first bee I've noticed on these flowers.

I can't wait for more cosmos flowers to bloom on all three plants, to see more bees and butterflies visiting.
