Tomato plant growing among the fava beans

Ha ha ha!

Look what's growing right in the middle of the fava bean plants - a healthy tomato plant.

It could be from a seed that was dormant since last year, because I used this container then to grow tomatoes.

Now that the fava bean plants are almost done producing beans, I noticed the tomato plant when it was very small. It is growing rapidly and already has some flowers.

I know that fava beans plants add nitrogen to the soil.

This tomato plant certainly is proof of that!

Now it will be interesting to see if this is another Dirty Girl tomato.
