Bees and flowers

The backyard is literally a-buzz with activity these days.

So many bees, butterflies and birds!

Above is an image of a honey bee flying to a geranium blossom in the very warm afternoon.

Meanwhile, a leaf cutter bee is crawling around a fennel flower head while a hoverfly flies above.

Here a leaf cutter bee is heading toward a white lobelia plant.

And here it is on a white lobelia blossom.

A small carpenter bee enjoys the nectar of the fennel blossoms.
