Watching them grow...


All of our wonderful fall and winter rain is so great for the plants.

I checked on the two native plant seedlings that I planted in the front yard a couple of weeks ago.

The Ray Hartman ceanothus seems to have grown about an inch taller (photo above), while the Ribes King Edward VII is developing more leaves from the center of the plant (photo below).

You can see five little green leaves sprouting.

Looks like slugs are not interested in munching on these plants. They probably are too hardy, not tender enough for those slimy critters.
