Ooh, the hooded orioles are here!

While gazing out the window at the backyard, I suddenly noticed two flashes of lemon in the light rain. A pair of hooded orioles!

The female disappeared from view by the time I got my camera, but the male stayed for about five minutes to check out the area. This is so exciting, because I've only ever seen one oriole at a time, never a pair.

I wonder if they will build a nest around here in one of the trees.
