Ooh, look at these blooms


We're already starting to see some of the new plants in the front yard producing blossoms.

It's so exciting because I've never seen of these in nature.

The Tidy Tips Layia platyglossa plants are both blooming.

Above is an image of one of the blossoms. They have white edges and yellow centers.

These are important nectar sources for the Bay Checkerspot butterflies, an endangered species.

And here are some of the Gilia Tricolor "Birds Eyes" flowers.

They are very lovely with yellow throats and powder-blue colored stamen.

It will be fun to see the bees visiting these plants.

And above is how the front yard looks today.

To the right of the mesh basket are the yellow and white Tidy Tips flowers.
