The living wall
We finally visited the renovated SFMOMA museum.
It's been beautifully remodeled, and one of the new features is a living wall, 30 feet in height and 150 feet long.
The wall was created by Habitat Horticulture.
The living wall is made up of 19,442 plants, 21 of which are native to California.
It is meant to attract local bees, butterflies and birds.
Condensate and storm water is recycled to irrigate the wall.
What a beautiful idea!
We need more of these.
