Blue thimble plant is still blooming
Although much of it is drying up, as are most of our native annuals in the garden, one of the blue thimble plants gilia capitata, is still producing blossoms.
And there are bees on the plant all day long, collecting nectar and pollen.
Here is a honey bee climbing up on a blossom.
And here is the same bee on top of the same blossom, its wings shining in the afternoon sun.
