Still blooming in the front yard


The California native plants are definitely the survivors in our front yard.

After several heat waves, and for this time of year, most of them are still blooming and thriving.

They are still fairly small plants, since they were all just planted this year in the spring.

The Margarita Bop penstemon plants are producing their lovely bluish purple flowers, as you see in the photo above.

The Forever Summer Melon agastache Agastache mexicana already is quite impressive.

It's fun to observe the Annas hummingbirds sipping nectar from these blossoms.

And just when I thought the heat was preventing this yellow yarrow Eriophyllum confertiflorum from producing more flowers, it is starting to bloom again.
