Monarch caterpillar wiggle dance

We finally got to witness a monarch caterpillar that was in "j" position shed its skin for the final time. This was monarch caterpillar number 12.

It was fascinating to watch its wiggle dance as it tossed off the skin and morphed into a chrysalis.

Here is some footage we shot for the first minute.

The entire process took about 10 minutes.
