Cabbage moth and the Gilia blossoms

I spotted this cabbage moth enjoying the nectar of the gilia blossoms in our native plant garden.

Yes, I know that the larva of these moths can decimate whole plants of the cabbage family.

They are considered pests by people trying to plant cabbage, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.

But they are still very lovely to look at.

Maybe I would think differently if I was trying to grow any of the above-mentioned vegetables.

In the photo above the cabbage moth is visiting a tricolored gilia.
