Happy World Bee Day!
I'm a day late posting these images from our garden for the first World Bee Day, but better late than never, right?
This wool carder bee is sitting on a Chiapas salvia leaf, moving pollen that it just collected to its underside to transport the pollen.
This is a long awaited moment when I could actually get a photo of an ivory-banded digger bee at rest. It is sitting on a wood chip in our native garden.
Usually these bees are constantly moving and get motion sickness just following their movement, looking through the eyepiece of the camera.
So this shot is a great accomplishment for me.
