Last of the Pandora Poppies
Alas, the Pandora poppies Papaver rhoeas 'Pandora' are at the end of their blooming season.
They are oh, so lovely, and actually quite resilient.
I can't believe these poppies actually lasted through our sweltering heatwave for the past four days!
These two blossoms seem to be the last ones.
They are on the same plant. As you can see, the colors are variable, different shades of pink and red, some with stripes or speckles.
