After foggy days, dramatic sunset
The coastal Bay Area is still enjoying cool temperatures that the marine layer brings.
For the past week the sun sometimes doesn't break through the fog layer until past noon.
And sometimes the fog covers us all day.
Then the sunset can be quite spectacular.
But it is just a narrow band of brilliant orange and gold between the dark clouds of fog rushing above, from south to north, and a soft gray fog bank blanketing the Bay below.
