Oak titmouse in the bath

We haven't seen any Oak titmice for a while, but definitely hear the distinctive songs and chatter.

Yesterday afternoon while sitting in my workroom, I heard that shrill, raspy chatter.

And there it was, completely soaked from splashing in the bird bath. An oak titmouse.

The only way I could take its photo without scaring the titmouse away was through the screen door.

It's always exciting to capture an image of these birds, because they are very elusive and quick.

Just look at those wet feathers.
