Teriyaki baked salmon

Teriyaki style baked Coho Salmon

This is a very tasty, easy to make fish dish! The recipe is for 2 servings, but is easily doubled.

Marinade:

1/3 cup soy sauce (I use low sodium soy sauce)

1 tablespoon sugar

1 clove of garlic minced or use a microplane to puree it

1 inch of peeled fresh ginger, grated

2 tablespoons sesame oil

2 tablespoons of canola or grapeseed oil

2 salmon steaks or 1 salmon filet about 6 to 8 inches long , with skin on

Mix all the marinade ingredients together in a glass dish or plastic container. Add the salmon to the marinade, meat side down. Close the container and marinate the salmon for 4 hours in the refrigerator.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Place the salmon skin side down in a flat baking dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon. Bake until it is done about 30 to 40 minutes.

Serve with steamed rice and salad,
