Ivory Banded Digger Bees visiting patio plants

Now that the Blue Bush Lupine is blooming, bees visit it all day.

It is an excellent nectar source for hummingbirds and bees.

Here, the Ivory Banded Digger Bee approaches the plant with its proboscis ready for a drink.

The orange color on its leg is pollen.

This plant is growing in a large pot on the patio, since it is a compact plant.

It can grow up to 4 or 5 feet tall, and 6 feet wide.
