Pollen in the Poppy



This is a Purple Gleam California Poppy Eschscholzia californica 'Purple Gleam', which is growing in our field of native flowers.


Only when I zoomed into this close-up photo did I realize just how much pollen these poppies have.

Imagine being a bee and rolling around along the sides of this lovely blossom!
