In honor of Pollinator Week, some of our pollinator visitors

So happy to see pollinators enjoying the native habitat we created for them!

Top photo is of a Leaf Cutting Bee on a flowerhead of the Seaside Woolly Sunflower Eriophyllum staechadifolium shrub. See how it has a lot of pollen on it, even on its head.

A flower fly approaching the first blossom on one of our Island Mallow Malva assurgentiflora shrubs. It looks like the fly already has some of flower's pollen on its feet.

This 10-spot ladybird seems to be resting in one of the flower spikes of the Pozo Blue sage shrub.

A hover fly resting on a leaf of a Seacliff buckwheat Eriogonum parvifolium.

A Summer Long-Horned Bee male on a flower of a Coast gumplant Gridelia stricta var. platyphylla. Such magnificent, long antennae!

An umber skipper nectaring on one of the flowerheads of a Verbena de la Mina shrub.
